Advent Food Drive

This year St. Ursula Academy Campus Ministry is hosting an Advent Food drive during the month of December to raise awareness and goods for a charitable organization.

The season of Advent is rapidly approaching! It is a time of reflection, showing gratitude to those we love, helping those in need, and preparing for Christmas.

For over 15 years, the students and faculty of Saint Ursula Academy have joined together in the spirit of Advent to help those less fortunate. We are called to serve others, and doing an annual Advent drive has provided an amazing opportunity for the SUA community to do so.

This year, SUA is partnering with After School All-Stars to create Winter Break Comfort Bags for the kids in the program. After-School All-Stars is a nonprofit organization that provides children in under-resourced neighborhoods a safe place for after the school day is over. The organization also provides the children with academic support, mentorship, opportunities in STEM, health, and fitness.

Students are asked to donate items for the program’s Comfort Bags to help brighten these students’ lives during some possibly tough challenges this winter break. Additionally, many organizations are looking for volunteers during the holidays to help during a busy time of the year. Contact Mrs. Pelz to get connected to a local organization in need!
